Some of these events occurred after the mid-November 2003 revision deadline. Among the 36 new entries are Arbitration; Atheism; Eleanor of Aquitaine; Holistic medicine; Homeland Security, United States Department of; Iraq War; and Oriental Exclusion Acts. With the europe entry, NBK completes its revision of articles on continents. The 37 replacement articles also include Archaeology, Oils and fats, Serbia and Montenegro, and Video recording. Entries that received major revisions include Bush, George W.; Elections; Iraq; Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC); Slovenia; and whales. There are 7 new maps, 459 new photographs, and 105 new pieces of color art. NBK includes a variety of interesting features designed for its audience: "Wonder Questions," "Literary Selections," "Homework Help," "Projects and Experiments," and "Did You Know That . . ." Each volume still has its own index with blue pages, which is a nice feature for young users. A thorough, comprehensive index volume is also included with the set.
